Participants requirements
General requirements
A Health Questionnaire must be completed at least 24hrs prior to attending your first class or session.
Outdoor footwear should be removed before entering the studio to ensure the floor and equipment remains clean.
We recommend wearing grip socks (socks with rubber padding on the soles) to prevent slipping. Please ask for information on where to purchase these. Normal socks can be worn, but please be aware, they may be slippery on the studio floor. Bare foot is fine as long as feet are clean and free from contagious health conditions.
Please wear suitable clothing for working out. Avoid clothing that is very baggy or has lots of zips and pull strings, layers are best so they can be removed/replaced as needed. Hair should be tied up if using the Reformer or other large Pilates equipment.
Classes in the Studio
My Pilates M.O. only runs small studio classes, this ensures everyone gets the attention they require during the class. With this in mind, it is important that the following conditions are adhered to.
Classes are paid for in blocks of six to secure your space in the studio. You will have 10 weeks to use your block of six classes. It is expected that you will make every effort possible to attend your class weekly.
If you have a pre-arranged commitment (Holiday, work etc) please let class teacher know at the time of booking/paying or as soon as possible.
We operate a 24hr cancellation policy, If you are unable to make a class at short notice, please let your class teacher know as soon as possible. In the first instance, you will be offered an alternative studio class to make up the session. You may also be able to join an online class. If an alternative class in the studio or online is not available, you will be charged for the missed class.
Existing clients may use the PAYG option for £14 per class, however you can only book into studio classes if there is a space available that week, you cannot book classes weeks ahead. If you are unsure, please contact me directly.
Please arrive in good time to start the class, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late (without notice) you may not be allowed in.
Please ensure you advise your class teacher of any new ailments, injuries or health conditions before attending class.
If you are new to Pilates or returning from Injury, you may be required to complete a 1-2-1 Consultation/Introduction before joining a group class.
Online Classes
At My Pilates M.O. we believe the best way to attend classes is in person, however we understand that is not always possible. An online option is only available to existing clients and by request, online classes are the same price as in Studio classes, £72 for a block of six (8 weeks to use them) or £14 PAYG. New Zoom Links will be emailed out on a Saturday/Sunday for the week ahead. If you are PAYG you will receive the Zoom link once your payment has been made.
Please contact me before class (not in the Zoom session) if you have a new Injury e.g woken up with a stiff neck, twisted your ankle the day before. I can then plan for alternative exercises.
The Online class option is NOT available to beginners or new clients.
1:1 and 2:1
A Consultation must be attended before signing up for a block of sessions, a £20 non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking.
Payment is taken per session in advance or paid for in blocks of 6 or 10.
Block sessions of 6 or 10 should be taken within 8 or 12 weeks respectively, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed.
If you are unable to make a pre-booked session, please let your Teacher know as soon as possible so that it can be rebooked within the above time restraints. If you are unable to give at least 24hrs notice for a cancellation, you may be charged for the missed session.
Please arrive in good time to start your session wearing the appropriate clothing (please see general requirements at the top of the page) if you are running late, or need to finish a session early, please let you Teacher know asap.
